Tod earned his bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University, then went on to complete his Master in Agricultural Economics at Kansas State University, specializing in the economics behind cattle and commodity markets.
Before joining Pratt Feeders, Tod spent 11 years at CattleFax, where he was at the center of market and data analytics for the entire beef supply chain. His insights have helped producers and feeders across the country make smart, strategic decisions in the face of constant market shifts. In 2025, Tod was elected Vice Chairman of the Kansas Livestock Association’s Cattle Feeders Council, further cementing his role as a leader in Kansas cattle feeding.
